I'm Eric, an engineer and artist based in California. My passion is to build physical things that bring people joy.

A while back I went to school at Georgia Tech where I studied Mechanical Engineering, ate a lot of chicken wings, and helped start a makerspace called the Invention Studio. That was my first opportunity to collaborate in a shared space with a bunch of engineers and amazing tools, which I loved. I strive to find and replicate that feeling of scrappy-but-productive prototyping in my workplaces to this day.

This Website

This website has been around in some form since 2006. I dabbled with web design in high school and published via iWeb when it was released, then moved to Cargo Collective when I purchased this domain in June 2009. I moved the site to Squarespace a few years later in 2012 and launched the blog there in January 2016. After fourteen years, I said goodbye to Squarespace and as of early 2026, the site is hosted on Netlify, built in Astro, and written by me (with the help of some agentic clankers).
